Chitral Upper-cum-Chitral Lower (NA-1 Chitral Upper-cum-Chitral Lower) is a seat for the Pakistani National Assembly. Before the 2018 delimitations, Chitral was divided into 2 constituencies, where it was in the majority. But after some amendments in 2023 has been changed into NA-1Chitral Upper-cum-Chitral LowerI. NA-1Chitral Election Results (2018)
The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government. When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.
In the elections of 2018, there were 11 candidates who participated under NA-1 Constituency of KPK Province. These candidates were Mulana abdul Akber Chitrali, Abdul Latif, Saleem Khan, Iftikhar Ud Din, Muhammad Amjid, Eid Ul Hussain, Saeed Ur Rehman, Shahzada Muhammad Taimoor Khisrao, Nasir Dastageer, Muhammad Yahya, Taqdira Ajmal.
Mulana abdul Akber Chitrali won the elections by receiving 49035 votes as MMA candidate. His other competitor was Abdul Latif who received 38819 votes.
