NA-149 Election Results (2018)

The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.

When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.

In the elections of 2018, there were 12 candidates who participated under NA-149 Constituency of Punjab Province. These candidates were Rai Muhammad Murtaza Iqbal, Muhammad Tufail, Ali Javed, Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Shakeel, Muhammad Haq Nawaz Khan, Ashiq Hussain, Muhammad Hamza, Rana Hamid, Muhammad Arshad, Amna Naz and Masood Khan.

Rai Muhammad Murtaza Iqbal won the elections by receiving 137632 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Muhammad Tufail was who received 111999 votes.
