NA-156 Election Results (2018)
The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.
When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.
In the elections of 2018, there were 12 candidates who participated under NA-156 Constituency of Punjab Province. These candidates were Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qurashi, Amir Saeed Ansari, Muhammad Asghar, Syed Tanweer Ul Hassan Gillani, Naqeeb Ullah, Ch. Muhammad Abdullah Khan, Tahir Almas, Shahzad Mumtaz, Sultan Mehmood Malik, Saba Faisal, Nadeem Mumtaz Qureshi and Chaudhry Muhammad Din.
Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qurashi won the elections by receiving 116272 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Amir Saeed Ansari was who received 84940 votes.
