NA-161 Election Results (2018)
The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.
When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.
In the elections of 2018, there were 15 candidates who participated under NA-161 Constituency of Punjab Province. These candidates were Mian Muhammad Sahfique Arain, Khan Muhammad Siddique Khan Baloch, Mian Sajid, Muhammad Akram Qaisar, Syed Imran Raza Gilani, Muhammaf Mushtaq Malik, Ayesha Gulalai Wazir, Iffat Tahira, Zia ur Rahman Tamimi, Syed Muhammad Azhar Shah, Saleem Abbas, Pir Syed Muhammad Iqbal Shah, Muhammad Aamir Iqbal Shah, Waseem Ahmad and Muhammad Umair Baloch.
Mian Muhammad Sahfique Arain won the elections by receiving 121809 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Khan Muhammad Siddique Khan Baloch was who received 116093 votes.
