NA-226 Election Results (2018)
The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.
When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.
In the elections of 2018, there were 14 candidates who participated under NA-226 Constituency of Sindh Province. These candidates were Sabir Hussain, Jamshid Ali Shekih, Ali Muhammad Sahtio, Muhammad Tahir, Rashid Ali Khan, Tahir Majeed, Saulat Naseer Pasha, Faisal Nadeem Sheikh, Ushair Khan, Shafiq Ahmad, Ghayoor Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Hanif Khan, Syed Abid Ali Shah and Zulfiqar Ali Halepoto.
Sabir Hussain won the elections by receiving 46646 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Jamshid Ali Shekih was who received 38672 votes.
