NA-228 Election Results (2018)

The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.

When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.

In the elections of 2018, there were 8 candidates who participated under NA-228 Constituency of Sindh Province. These candidates were Syed Naveed Qamar, Meer Ali Nawaz Talpur, Abdul Jabbar Memon, Sumayya Abdul Qadir Nizamani, Ghulam Murtaza, Lal Bushkh, Kasaf ul Hussain Shah and Syed Miran Muhammad Shah.

 Syed Naveed Qamar won the elections by receiving 76067 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Meer Ali Nawaz Talpur was who received 45159 votes.
