NA-242 Election Results (2018)

The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.

When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.

In the elections of 2018, there were 19 candidates who participated under NA-242 Constituency of Sindh Province. These candidates were Saif Ur Rehman, Muhammad Iqbal, Asadullah Bhutto, Sharafat Khan, Kishwar Zehra, Syed Muhammad Waqas Hashmi, Hassan Sabir, Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi, Bedal Masroor Badvi, Abdul Ghani, Zohaib Umer Laghari, Noor Ullah S/O Abdul Kabeer, Muhammad Asghar Ali, Ayed Abdul Bari, Manzoor Ahmad, Noor Muhammad, Kiran Zehra Kazmi, Noorullah S/O Hameed Ullah Khan and Pir Umar Uddin Zaffar.

Saif Ur Rehman won the elections by receiving 27333 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Muhammad Iqbal was who received 11823 votes.
