NA-247 Election Results (2018)

The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.

When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.

In the elections of 2018, there were 23 candidates who participated under NA-247 Constituency of Sindh Province. These candidates were Arif ur Rahman Alvi, Syed Zaman Ali Jafri, Muhammad Farroq Sattar, Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, Abdul Aziz Memon, Aftab Hussain Lakho, Muhammad Jibran Nasir, Fauzia Kasuri, Syed Mansoob Hassan, Abdul Habib, Abdul Wahab, Abdul Jalil Khan, Ali Nawab, Deedar Ali, Ghazia Ali, Mati ur Rehman, Naeem Uddin, Nasreen Jalil, Javid Iqbal Khan, Nadir Khan Jamali, Afnan Ullah Khan, Raj Kumar and Fauzia Aqeel Lari.

Arif ur Rahman Alvi won the elections by receiving 91020 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Syed Zaman Ali Jafri was who received 24680 votes.
