NA-249 Election Results (2018)

The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.

When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.

In the elections of 2018, there were 15 candidates who participated under NA-249 Constituency of Sindh Province. These candidates were Muhammad Faisal Vavda, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Abid Hussain, Aslam Shah, Syed Atta Ullah Shah, Qadir Khan Mandokhel, Fouzia Hameed, Hazrat Umar, Haji Muhammad, Muhammad Salman Khan Baloch, Abdus Sattar, Kamran Akhtar, Abdul Qayyum Khan Kundi, Ali Akbar and Hafiz Muhammad Mursalen.

Muhammad Faisal Vavda won the elections by receiving 35344 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif was who received 34626 votes.
