NA-49 Election Results (2018)
The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government. When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.
In the elections of 2018, there were 25 candidates who participated under NA-49 Constituency of Punjab Province. These candidates were Muhammad Jamal Ud Din, Dost Muhammad Khan, Qayyum Sher, Abdur Rahim Khan Burki, Muhammad Iqbal, Jahangir Khan, Sher Pao, Noor Hassan, Sadam Hussain, Atta Mir Khan, Abdul Qadus Khan, Jamal Shah, Waheed Khan, Nawab Naik Badshah Mahsud, Abdul Majeed, Abdullah, Zahir Shah, Ahmad Hussain, Dilawar Khan, Abdul Hameed, Afsar Khan, Zahoor Khan, Dilbar Khan, Syed Muhammad Zahoor Shah and Sami Ullah Jan.
Muhammad Jamal Ud Din won the elections by receiving 7794 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Dost Muhammad Khan was who received 6606 votes.
