NA-56 Election Results (2018)
The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government. When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.
In the elections of 2018, there were 7 candidates who participated under NA-56 Constituency of Punjab Province. These candidates were Major (R) Tahir Sadiq, Malik Sohail Khan, Syed Faisal Mehrnood Shah, Sardar Saleem Haydar, Shehryar Khan, Mehram Khan and Ghulam Asghar
Major (R) Tahir Sadiq won the elections by receiving 163325 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Malik Sohail Khan was who received 99404 votes.
