NA-71 Election Results (2018)
The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government. When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.
In the elections of 2018, there were 14 candidates who participated under NA-71 Constituency of Punjab Province. These candidates were Chaudhry Abid Raza, Muhammad Ilyas Choudhary, Muhammad Haneef Malik, Naeem Ahmed, Naeem Raza, Ali Asghar, Nadeem Aashiq, Syed Mubashar Hussain Shah, Syed Zia Ullah, Shahbaz Khan, Fahad Ilyas Choudhry, Ch. Muhammad Zahid Farooq, Shabbir Ahmad and Asif Raza.
Chaudhry Abid Raza won the elections by receiving 88588 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Muhammad Ilyas Choudhary was who received 81538 votes.
