NA-78 Election Results (2018)
The three major parties who competed with each other in the general elections of 2018 were the PTI led by Imran Khan, the PLM-N led by Shehbaz Sharif, and the PPPP led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the elections by securing maximum votes and ultimately formed the government.
When we look at the provincial level, the PTI was the ruling party in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); the Pakistan Peoples Party maintained its position in Sindh and the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan.
In the elections of 2018, 12 candidates participated under the NA-78 Constituency of Punjab Province. These candidates were Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary, Abrar Ul Haq, Rashid Mehmood Khan, Hafiz Muhammad Akmal Sadiq, Jalaluddin, Javaid Safdar Kahlon, Anwar Ul Haq Butt, Faiza Rafique, Shujat Ahmad Khan, Khizer Ilyas Virk, Mureed Hussain and Badar Ahsan Chaudhary.
Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary won the elections by receiving 159651 votes as MNA candidate. His other competitor Abrar Ul Haq, received 88250 votes.
